Less twist as you go = from high wound strings to low and only 1/2 on double wound. The old coke bottles were great as the shape of the bottle kept the = string from slipping off. The only set I've = ever done this to (although I didn't use a beer bottle...) still sounds = better than it did originally, (It's been about 3 or 4 years...) but = perhaps others can enlighten us as to the permanency of this technique?
