Thanks for the well timed post.  I did a similar repair to an S$S B about 
20 years ago, using a lost-to-history type of epoxy and I've noticed lately 
(as in yesterday, when I tuned it) that the erosion has gone beyond the 
original repair and the original repair is presenting a knife edge of epoxy 
to unsuspecting errant fingers.  I've been mulling over in my mind the 
possibility of inlaying fresh wood on those sides, but hadn't gotten to the 
point yet of imagining any easy way to do that.

I'll have to instead lay in a supply of West system.
