HTML MessageAh, yes. I bought 2 containers of Bolduc glue at the mid =
Atlantic regional conference. I squeezed half of one container into =
another container to give to a friend of mine. Now awhile later the top =
of the surface of the glue has hardened about a half inch thick so that =
I can't even stir it. I tried to glue a hammer on a shank with the =
original and it looked great. It has properties as advertised (glass =
hard, heat resistant etc) that are impressive. =20

Now, I just today, I thinned with a little distilled water and heated in =
my glue pot until it could be stirred back to normal? I'm wondering if =
it still will perform as advertised. I'm no chemist, but I'll try most =
anything twice, Anyone know what's going on?

Yes, the subject of glue is a good one. I remember a class given by Del =
many years ago about glue. He said "The manufacturer said (we buy it by =
the 55 gallon and it has a shelf life of 30 days, but it's no problem =
since we use so much of it) Arghhhhhhh!!!!

OK, I know I'll get flamed by some but I have a brand new flame suit =
so I'm safe. =20

Where can I find some good glue for hammers? I'm tired of using hot =
hide glue. It's fussy! If you use it straight it jells before you get =
the hammer in its final position. If you use to much additive it is =
weak. It gets moldy between uses. I still get loose hammer heads even =
when doing it right. As far as I can tell none of the current factories =
use hide glue for hammers and I don't find loose hammer heads on them. =
I know Andre has some glue listed on his web site, but it's not =
available here. =20

    Suggestions?
