Joe,

Thanks for the advice.  I'm sure you have plenty o' experience with these  
conditions.

I don't think it has a humidistat.  It's a low wattage unit, though I didn't 
have my glasses on as I crawled around underneath the piano and can't be 
certain of the exact output.  I'll check next time--probably around 3 months from 
now, and will recommend a 50 w with a humidistat.
