Hi Dean,

We never had problems of felt falling out with the steam method where I =
work.
We use a steam tool. I attached the picture. Maybe it is the same thing =
that you use.
It is very fast and easy to use, and as you said it is perfect for =
balance holes that were too big.
Maybe the wood was too wet.
Is there a possibility to dry it with a heat source, in order to prevent =
the felt to fall down after it has been glued?
