Carl,,, this is kind of off topic, (my reply, not your post, that is..) =

Practically speaking, yes, sometimes the SAT isn't picking up what =
it needs where it sits, and you have to adjust it's position. It's the =
same for all the Accu-tuners, by the way. =20
Your post reminds me of radio, or electromagnetic radiation. The =
higher frequencies, like micro-waves for instance, don't bend around =
corners, even around the curve of the Earth. The lower frequencies go =
every which way. The rules of wave propagation are pretty much the same =
whether it's light or sound, I believe..

John Ross tipped me on how to get around this, but curious why
it happens. Occasionally a " note", and not the same one, will not
activate lights unless I move Sat. to another location on piano. I
have my own theory as to why it happens, but wonder if someone
has the definitive answer. I'm not sure how to "splain" my theory,
but it's based on why you don't hear tweeter signals from a high
  fidelity
speaker if you stand to the side, where bass signals are heard quite
readily in most any place you stand. High , or tweeter sounds are very
directional as opposed to low frequency signals. What say ya'll.
