Our Sunday evening dinner consisted of trying to figure out what our 
apprentice did wrong.  Our dinner guest was a new friend who works at the 
local Radio Shack.......

Probably it needs the internal battery and capacitor, because he did follow 
the previous instructions correctly.

Your posts made it clearer.
