Hi Joe,

Yes, that would normally help in such a situation, but I managed to =
complicate things quite a bit by using MANY small pieces of wood - each =
lamination layer was made of up to six pieces - I'd have to have nails =
all over the place! You don't want to know any more than that. I will be =
modifying my cap building method (thanks Ron N.) and each lamination =
piece will cover an entire bridge section - maybe I'll still need =
something to hold it in place, although I don't think so.

  Hi Terry,
Would a small brad at the ends of the cap stop the creep? Set into the =
cap so as not to cause problems in clamping or proud so that they could =
be removed.

Ah geeeeezzzzzzeee! I hate when that happens. Uh, need I say that =
post was meant to go private?

Now the whole bloody truth is out: Yes, I have indeed made my =
fist-ever mistake ;-). I knew it would come sooner or later - but I =
had hoped to not broadcast the whole affair to a world-wide audience.

    :-(

    Hey, at least I wasn't bad-mouthing anyone - whew! :-)
