Hi Isaac, Thanks for the clarification. I thought maybe I was being subjected to some piano-list hazing ritual <G>. I thought I'd outsmart your mischief by going to a translation site. Silly me. Here's what came back, cut and pasted exactly as I got it: from http://world.altavista.com/ Babel Fish: You will like Cà, if you have an answer when with the cord for this monocorde, me I tested but Minimens is blocked in mode demonstration (not C3, 4 or whatever). In any case the level of documentation of the sior Lester is more than correct! Friendships. Isaac So I thought I'd try again... from http://ets.freetranslation.com/ <http://ets.freetranslation.com/> : Cà will please you, if you have a response when to the rope for this monocorde, me I tried but Minimens is blocked in method démo (not any C3, 4 or whatever). In any case the documentation level of the sieur To Ballast is more more more than more correct! Friendships.. Isaac That was much clearer, I thought. I wasn't sure which wire I mentioned you thought couldn't take the tension at C3, but I'll wait 'til your Minimens (?) is working again. One thing, I didn't account for any major mass differences between modern piano wire and the Malcolm Rose stuff; I realized afterwards that I just assumed they were both in the same ballpark. I tried to compute something workable but could not at this time (trying to find a correct match with soft wire) the tension may be too high to use piano wire as you state (around 600 N for a poor breaking strain level) The precedent post was intended to be send privately, sorry for the wrong button. best Regards.
