Muting felt strips

	I also use action cloth (I've been using the gold color).  I use
a rolling cutter and straightedge to cut the strip lengthwise so that
the width tapers.  This allows more clearance for the hammers in the
upper tenor area.  The thinnest part is used in the treble for the same
reason.  Hope this helps.

I am having a tough time finding replacement muting felt strips
(untapered)
for tuning.  My old strips are so compacted that they aren't muting
anymore.
I called Schaff but they only have the tapered kind.  All I want are the
old-fashioned red wool strips.  Any ideas.  Thanks
