Very common problem that I see consistently. Plate placement, inaccurate
bridge notching, and really poor termination, with capo blow through etc. At
least the action problems can be dealt with, sort of. Current gripe is way too
much flex in the Kluge key that is being used. Feels like bad key bedding but
once that is corrected you still have the problem of the key feeling like it
falls out from under you on a hard blow. No power. I have been putting
gussets on the sides of the keys in the bass to stiffen. This used to be a B, D
problem on the long keys but now exists in the smaller pianos. I'm looking for
a fast fix for this problem as the real correction is a shoe. Way too much
time spent for a new out of the box piano. Anyone have any ideas? I am toying
with trying to put a very thin coat of epoxy on either side of the key about two
inches on either side of the button. This may give me the stiffness they
need. BTW won't be able to join you in Nashville. TP
