The data tables sync between my desktop & Pocket PC whenever I put the
PPC in its cradle, just like Outlook, notes, etc. The PPC database
interface is by necessity different, because Microsoft=92s =
implementation
of the database engine for PPC is less robust than its desktop version.

Mark,
=20
Thanks for providing this. that looks promising.
=20
Indeed I'll probably can't use it myself without changes for europen
phone numbers and city codes/addresses - but that is encouraging to
see.
=20
However, are you able to use a synchronized version of those data on a
Pocket PC ?
Or are you working with data transfer from one machine to the other
(without sync)?
=20
Thanks again.
Best regards.

I=92ve posted a copy with one sample customer at
www.nhpianos.com/ptdb_download_page.htm I=92ve included some tips in the
comments textbox that list some of the less obvious features. You=92d =
need
to replace the data in the tblCities table with info for your own area.
I was able to turn up a text listing for this online to save keying all
of this data in. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Feel
free to use or modify this as you wish, but if you make any meaningful
changes I=92d love to hear about them.

So are you willing to put it out there as shareware for your piano tech
brothers? ;-)

Yep =96 rolled my own over the course of several years. Started small =
with
Access ver 1.0 and added on as I gained experience. There are many
sample DB=92s available via Microsoft and on the web to use as a =
starting
point.

So is your desktop DB something you developed or a package you got
somewhere?=20
