Check to see if it have the upstriking dampers.  Those are really time 
consuming to deal with.  Action can be rebuilt pretty easily, but is a lengthy task. 
 Does it have the original hammers?  If so you might want to keep them if 
possible or have the hammer moldings recovered.  Does it have a plate or just 
iron bracing.  It may look older than you think because they lagged behind in 
American style improvements.  If it actually has a plate it would be newer than 
1830.  Are the pedals wooden?  Take really good notes on everything you see.  
Do a careful estimate and then double it or it won't be worth your time or a 
rebuilder's.  TP
