I have a question about how to measure strike balance weight. according to Mr. Stanwood,there are 4 steps to measure strike balance weight: 1.lift up the hammer and shank 2.place temporary weights on the back of the key such that the balance weight of the key and wippen becomes zero. 3..... my question is about the second step,how to zero the balance weight of the key and wippen by putting weight.how can i deal with the friction--key friction weight? thanks!
