Yamaha C6 bass strings

Grin...   well disagreement is cool... but are we talking about the same 
kind of string here ?? I was refering to hex - core strings... in reply 
to the query about the lack of effectiveness in turning strings.  

That said... I wasnt aware that Yamahamadoo piano makers were using some 
chemical conkocxion :) to glue their windings to the core.  Interesting. 

Course there are always exceptions... but dead, tubby, buzzy bass 
strings on hex cores dont seem to respond long term to twisting in my 
experience.
