Major Grotrian problem

Hello Ajay.

You could also check if the pre-hung hammers you got are hung at the
right distance on the shanks. A simple way to check this is to evaluate
if the backchecks, when regulated albeit approximately, look like they
have the usual 72° inclination with the key. If they look closer to 90
° (that is vertical), you can be sure that the hammers are hung at a too
close distance of the center pin, and causing that weight problem. Few
millimeters are critical here. Maybe the center pin to hammer distance
has varied from time to time or from models to models.

Regards

Stéphane Collin.
