OT: "Conservative" ???

Dale,
   As a "conservative", kindly explain to me what
Bush, whom I suspect you support, is conserving?
This is not a snotty question. I honestly do not
understand.

P.S. I am a deeply religious person who would probably
not get along with the "liberals" on this list any
better than the "conservatives", in real life. But I
think that Bush has put us in terrible danger, and
made us the most hated nation on earth.
