Strikes me that Joe has it right given what we actually know.  It would 
be nice to have a bit more specific information as to how this is 
regulated. Otherwise we are left throwing generalities around that tho 
we've run into before on many an occasion we cant be sure really applies 
here.

Myself, I find that properly regulated there is no problem with any 
Yamaha upright I've ever run into. So these "bobbling" posts tell me 
that somethings amiss with the regulation. 

You sound perhaps a bit inexperienced...??  I would suggest getting on 
the phone to Yamaha and ask their advice directly.. after you make sure 
that there is a good basic regulation done on this piano.
