Deaf, Blind Pitch raises

Hi Terry,
I think that he is referring to the practice of determining how far to move
the pin strictly by feel based on how far out the piano is and then doing
the whole piano that way without stopping to look at your VTD. Of course
there has to be some sort of curve to adjust as you go up in treble since
you don't generally7 have to move the pin as far. Result is a QUICK, COURSE
first pass chip is what I would call it. I don't really use this but I do
put my foot on the damper pedal and pluck strings if I am doing a large PR.
I do find that I have a good sense of how far to move the pin as I go.

Gee, over 1,000 resulting posts for "deaf" or "blind" tuning in the
archives. I've spent a half-hour so far and got nothing. Maybe just a hint?
