Yes it was. I imagine that all the SATll's have been sold. With only 1 model in production, their production cost has gone down. They couldn't lower the price till all the old ones had gone. Just my take on it. Oh yes being competitive also would enter the picture. The SATlll, with the flash memory, is a more trouble free unit, since battery hold on voltage for the RAM, is no longer required. The battery charge lasts for weeks, as well. John M.
