One of the problems I have with these things is that the compressors make so
much damn noise.  Does anyone build  cabinet for these things in which you
can keep them a bit quieter and then have a hose running out to hook up your
various pneumatic tools?

A "muffler" can be fashioned to extend the intake filter housing, thus
helping to reduce noise.
