The Thumper asked: "P.S. II---I have a LOT of wood-to-felt
friction/contact/mechanical junctures to lube in this
Chickering Brown action I'm rebuilding. What, please,
is your preferred stuff for coating jack tips and such"

Thumper,
I prefer Emralon. Which is nothing more than MicroFine Teflon in a =
Lacquer Base. Medium thickness of the lacquer, is my preference.
BTW, I was, (Horrors!), cleaning up my "play pen"/Shop and =
(re)discovered a large BluePrint of the Brown Action!! It is for the =
"newer" one, that has the "Thumbtack" in the hammer shank. I have a copy =
of it, if you are interested. (Kinkos was able to copy it. It is =
large.<G>)
