I'd call it the damper tray flange rail ! You know the thing is this, S&S glued flanges are all very well if they don't give problems but if they do its a real pain - you've got it out - so while you've got it out drill all the flanges and fit screws, then remove the screws and unglue the flanges once and for all.Clean em up. Now you can re-centre to your hearts content and screw the buggers back like normal pianos - result ? - someone, sometime will sing your praises for being so long-sighted - of course it might be you who needs to get at a flange in the future - think how proud you'll be !!
