Today as I was starting to tune a piano, I struck my tuning fork on my knee. I needed a hand free or something. I don't remember...but anyway, I put the tuning fork, still vibrating, in my mouth and wow! As I grabbed it between my molars, the sound of the fork was amplified perfectly! I could hear the beats between he fork and the string better than I ever had before. On top of that I now had a hand free. So I held the fork in my mouth, thumped on the key with one hand, and tuned the string with the other, and prayed that the customer wouldn't walk in and see what a dork I must have looked like :-) Well, I actually don't really care about looking like a dork. I have a flashlight that I use when I need that straps to my head like a coal miner. That looks look dorky too, but it work great. Happy weekend.
