For the bass I don't mind them, but for the top treble I think they would interfere with the striking point. Unsell you were thinking of agraffes above the V-bar like some Kimballs or Mason & Risch. On the other hand, I so much prefer to restring a piano that has NO agraffes. I would think the cost of production increase would outweight the benefits if there were some.
