HI Avery,
Joe's a fine guy. He mentioned the word "rant" in his post, but we since =
cleared the air anyway. Thanks for defending him.:) As for the school =
that teaches the vision impaired, if I could attend I would, but to =
uproot my family wouldn't be practiclal at this point in the ball game. =
However, I'd like to visit them sometime. I've met one of their =
instructors over the phone and through e-mail plus of their studens via =
a few phone conversations. They do a great job. Well have a great =
night.=20

Joe and I rarely agree about a lot of stuff, but I respect him. I =
don't remember all of that post, but I seriously doubt that he ranted to =
you about being visually impaired. He wouldn't do that. As best I =
remember, he told you about an opportunity to be trained by people who =
train visually impaired people. As far as I know, Joe isn't visually =
impaired!=20
If you can't do it, that's fine. But don't accuse him of "ranting" =
because he gave you a different option. OK.=20
Off my soapbox! :-)=20

P.S. Please don't be intimated by any of us. We've all "been there", =
whether we admit it or not! :-D\

Hi Richard,

Speaking of rants, how did you like Joe's rant on me about being vision =
impaired? Im not sure why the piano hospital didn' t accept his =
application. I know a woman who attended who is fully sighted. As for =
bank accounts, I personally hae a seperate personal one right now, but =
I'm seeking informaiton on this as well from the person I trained with =
in tuning. I'm glad you joined the list. It's intimidating to hang out =
with these pros at times especially when they ream me about the vision =
impairment and their perception of whether I word hard at learning the =
trade or not. Having someone new like yourself on the list helps ease =
the discomfort of being new to the trade. Let's stick together.=20

Subject: Separate business/personal accounts?
Hello, all.
I'm a new tuner, after years in academia, and newly returned to =
the self-employed field. How important is it to have a separate bank =
account for my piano tech income? Can I achieve an appropriate level of =
separation using Quicken, and 'subdividing' my single bank account?
This list has already been marvelously instructive, even the very =
long string following Susan's New Year's Rant. As you might imagine, I =
am struggling with how to price myself/my services.
I'll not respond to each response, but will appreciate the input =
each person provides.
Thanks,
Richard
