I guess they think there isn't enough spring wood to make em crown.
I once consulted on a warranty call featuring a new Steinway B with a
board made this tight of a grain, It had about 50 compression ridgy crackys
goin on. The client wanted the piano replaced . Steinway guys said to me"they
didn't consider it a problem unless there was a problem with a rib to panel
joint." SO ...I found one. An inch long or so & barely got the feeler gauge
in.
Heck of it was that ....dang that piano sounded good.
They replaced it, just prior to the court date. Funny how that works

You bet. Any day. Do these folks happen to have reasons why
they think 20+gpi panels won't crown, or is it just yet
another of those off-the-wall laws of the alternate universe?
