How is your dip? Should be very shallow. Make sure thats right first. Does that instrument control dip with the jack rail or does it have front pins and punchings like a piano? Also, at the risk of being flamed by instrument makers and more experienced techs, several customers of mine have found help in the Harpsichord Owners Guide (?) by Kottick. I dont own it myself and I dont think Id depend on it for the best information, but, like Reblitz, it can be very useful for someone getting to know the instruments. Frank Hubbards little pamphlet on Harpsichord regulation should still be available, maybe from Hubbard Harpsichords who can also supply wire and parts, as can Zuckermann. ----Dave ----------------------------- Dave Doremus, RPT New Orleans ------------------------------ On 10/25/06, Barbara Richmond quoth: >OK, while I'm at it, I noticed while easing the keys to this >Zuckermann harpsichord, that the sharps are hitting the front of the >balance rail and making some noise.
