harpsichords, that's me!

Those are standard Zuckermann plastic jacks.   They work just fine, unless you wish to get into the refinements of discussing the angle of the jack tongue, etc., etc., but the reality is, these work just fine.   They are a little bit of a pain when you need to adjust the height, but all doable.

Now the elastic over the 4' jacks.  that is just weird, and that deserves a photo!

Sounds like a project.   These old Z's can be made into very nice instruments provided the initial construction was well done.
