Usually glues will have three time parameters associated with them. Working time, clamping time and full cure time. For instance, Titebond Original has a 5 minute working time, a 30 minute clamp time is recommended for an unstressed joint (sometimes the manufacturer will also give a recommendation for clamping time for a stressed joint - often the full cure time), and 24 hours for a full cure. You have given me two of the time parameters - working time and full set time. What I need is recommended clamping time - i.e. should an hour in the vacuum bag be sufficient or do I need to leave the vacuum pump on all night? I appreciate your input, and that will be useful to me as the bottle has no information on it whatsoever, but as you can see, it's that "other" thing I am looking for! ;-) Terry Farrell ----- Original Message ----- In a message dated 9/3/2006 12:43:55 PM Central Daylight Time, mfarrel2 at tampabay.rr.com writes: Does anyone know the recommend non-stressed joint clamp time for Bolduc wood glue? Working time, about 45 minutes max. Full set up time 24-36 hours. PR-J -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
