Where to notch a bridge & relative effects ????? ( Advice sought )

I've thought this for years, and that this would be a prime cause for
falseness. But since I don't do much restringing, I haven't been able to
verify this from personal experience.

After all that work to get them tight why would you want to wiggle them back
and forth while heating them up with a file?
