Joe, for loose leather, have you tried the weaving in, of wool, to fill up the space? Or do you feel, that the leather has stretched, and that would result in a bigger knuckle? John M. While reading that, it flashed on me, that, IF the knuckle leather is loose on the core felt, it will be very inconsistant. Since in consistancy seems to be the issue, I'd certainly check it.
