M&H serial # help

Hello all,

Can anyone help me locate the serial number on an older Mason/Hamlin  
CC?  If the number was stamped on the plate, it's been painted over.   
I've looked in all the usual places--keybed, on the action, on the  
rim above and below the soundboard, on the soundboard at the bass end.

Any other suggestions?
