CA glue questions (on the bridge)

I've never removed strings for CA treatment of the bridges.  When the 
glue is soft it will absorb string energy yes, but when it is set it 
is hard and will transmit it very well.  In fact using gap filing CA 
effected an emergency fix for a technician damaged bridge 
termination.  When the glue was set the next day it was not possible 
to find the fix aurally.
