Thanks Conrad and Terry I'm kind of surprised there weren't more response to this, I guess you guys nailed it. I would go with Conrad's advice and get the sample kit from Renner, but as long as Brooks offers the complete service of hanging and shaping tails, I might as well keep my life simple and go with that. I was hoping to try the wurzens but It'll wait til the next set. BTW, yup, it's 5'4" stem to stern. Are you sure about the size? The E we have here (#62122) is more like 5'8" or 9", 20 bass. > First of all, the shanks are not conventional; the knuckles are more > pear-shaped, like the Brambachs. I replaced the shanks here more than 20 years ago with "old Baldwin" from APSCO. Pianotek, Schaff and Renner have full size catalog illustrations and Renner even has a kit with actual parts that you can insert into the action to see which one would be a proper replacement, and I _would_ replace them... -- Conrad Hoffsommer - Keyboard Technician Luther College, 700 College Dr., Decorah, Iowa 52101-1045 1-(563)-387-1204 // Fax 1-(563)-387-1076 - Right now, I'm hoping to live until my age matches my golf score, - Until then, I'll have to be content to have my IQ match my handicap. -- No virus found in this incoming message.
