Why not? I have a piano action from a restaurant which takes a beating. Ecsaine might be more durable than cloth. I have both .055 and .075 Ecsaine. The .075 is a little stiff to bend at the shoulder but the .055 seems suitable to bend. I steamed out the old bushings and used Spurlock's sizing cauls. A preliminary test shows that the .075 looks good for the balance rail but just snug on the front, .055 is too loose on the front rail. I wonder if this stuff responds well to a key bushing iron. Any comparisons on how humidity affects cloth v. Ecsaine? This seasonal restaurant is harbor-side, windows open to all sorts of damp air. Sunny one day, fog the next; or even in the same day. Heck, in '91, hurricane Bob had the waterline 2 feet above their recently purchased S&S O. I sold them another one, ex-XR.
