marks on plate

Thanks, John (and Patrick). While cleaning, I only used a very soft paint
brush and a vacuum cleaner. When I was tuning I kept looking at those
strings.... The strings don't look brand spanking new, but they're not
horrible either. What a day to have forgotten my calipers!

Well, I'm off to face today's piano adventures.
