Gluing isn't necessary to keep them in but if you ever have to ease the bushing you can push them out if you are not careful. I usually put a spot of glue to tack them in around where the bottom of the bushing extends through the guide rail. He explained that the bushings are not glued in place. Today I wondering <why> they aren't glued and can't recall the reason.
