Rochester Key update

Hi Folks,

Thanks to all who responded to my desperate plea for help when
Rochester Key was incommunicado a couple of weeks ago. The new
owner went on vacation a day or two after getting my keys and
didn¡¯t bother to let me know. Grrr. So much for the ¡°guaranteed
3 day turnaround¡± touted on the website. He also didn¡¯t bother
to respond to my repeated and increasingly unhappy phone messages
and emails, but simply sent the keys back. He flunks Basic
Business 101 in my book.

I appreciate the recommendations on a new vendor, since I
definitely won¡¯t be going back there. Over the years, I¡¯ve
considered their work decent at a good price, but this set wasn¡¯
t as good. The keytops were ok for the price, but as usual,
required some touchup with a file to look good. The bushings,
however, look to be the old cheap felt that everyone pretty much
quit using years ago and I had to ease almost every key. The
savings definitely aren¡¯t worth it, IMHO.
