Did you ever read the story "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie"? Chances are that if you disconnect the bridle straps they will crumble so you will have to replace them. You'll also discover that the catcher leather is worn and needs to be replaced while the butts are off. This is also a good time to file the hammers on a drum sander while you're at it. Might as well repin too. Oh yeah, the butt leather... ... spring punchings worn?... Might as well replace the letoff buttons since it's out in the open. Also might be a good time to replace the jack springs.
