Indeed it is. Two screws at the music desk base and the middle top section hinges back, four (I think) screws at the right and left edges of the kneeboard middle section and the two curved end pieces hinge out like a gullwing sports car. And then you're good to go! Well, at least then you've got your Wurly open.....

This particular one that was pictures was the lady's childhood piano. I told her it wasn't worth putting money into, but she wanted to. So it got an action refurbish, full action regulation, damper felt, keytops and refinished the case. Darn pretty little piano that functioned surprisingly well.

  This looks like the model with sides that either remove or hinge away. Can't remember but I think I've only seen 1 or 2. Took me forever to figure out how to open it. Maybe I'm wrong, anyway, a very pretty old piano, I love it. And no, I don't want to buy it.
