Hi Everyone, I am interested in the comments re Kawai RX-2 and Yamaha C6
grands. I find the Kawai a better tone to my ear, however I have heard some
great C6 pianos, when they are young.
The thing that I notice with the C5 and C6 models is that after a few years,
say 10 to 15, they developed very bad buzzing from the tenor capo area. I
have, on many occasions, stuck insulation tape on the area between the plank
and the capo. This seems to improve the problem, in most cases. I suspect
that the noise comes from the steel rod that fits under the capo, or it is
very soft casting of the plate, causing string grooves in the plate.It
really is a common problem with Yammies, and not so much with Kawai.
Any comments??
