Rare pedal squeak

Sorry, my last post really did not address the issue.

Jesse,
The problem is oxidation on the wire. The result of which
grinds on the old stiff bushing causing an audible sound.

Applying a lubricant simply alleviates the symptom
but does not treat the cause... which is the oxidation
on the wire dragging on a hardened bushing.

Hopefully you can get by with removing each damper,
polishing the wire and applying Teflon powder to the bushing.

Good luck re-fitting the old groove-worn dampers.

You think you've seen problems.... ... you ain't seen nothin' yet.

Welcome to the Pianotech list.
