Hello to All,
To lump all "Birdcage" pianos into one category,
one quality range or one condition just does not
make sense.
Many of these pianos are made much stronger than
others. We as technicians must evaluate each piano
ON ITS OWN MERIT.
It is a disservice to the public to say things like
"all black pianos are bad" this is the same as saying
that no Birdcage pianos cannot be raised SUCCESSFULLY
to 440.
I have personally raised pitch on many of these
pianos with no adverse effects.
Our profession seems to have a propensity to lump
each item into one category.
If you are guilty of this type of conduct I respectfully
say stop. We owe it to the profession we share.
If a person cannot get the truth about Pianos from a
Piano technician. THEN WHO ????
Respectfully,
Jack Wyatt
