Slow Paying Customer Policy

That's a fine idea, but unfortunately with this customer, that policy would risk doing the work for 50% of the price. I ship my soundboards freight to other states (and countries!), so I can't really hand over the product at the same time the customer pays the 50% balance. I think Del's affirmation of getting full payment up front is likely the way to go with this particular cookie.

Thanks for the input.

Terry: One policy that I hold firm to is a 50% deposit on all shop work. I do some rebuilding, and always specify the deposit up front, with the balance due on completion. You may not need to do this with established, reliable customers, but with customer it may be necessary.
