polishing spoons

hi list

i need to remove rust/corrosion on the spoons of a wurlitzer spinet. i
started with a block of polita, but it doesn't seem to be getting the
surface of the spoons smooth enough. what would work? is there a grade of
steel wool fine enough to finish with?

i'd appreciate any suggestions.
