You could shoeshine it off with some medium grit then fine grit paper. That should work. Dave Stahl, RPT

Subject: new string broke after 3 months
In December I replaced a wound string on an execrable Yamaha electric piano (definitely a PS/POS). That string broke on Sunday, and I've ordered a replacement. Checking the underside of the v-bar that terminates the speaking length, where the string broke, I found a slight burr in the metal. What can I do about that, in case that is what caused the string to break? Thanks in advance, Richard Morgan AOL now offers free email to everyone.
