glue pot

Richard,

Just look for a "hot-pot." They are thermostatically controlled. Use a candy thermometer your first time to find the temp you want and mark it on the base. FWIW, I'd opt for a short squat one rather than a tall thin one. I got mine at a garage sale for 50 cents, so I won't complain. I cut a small hole (3/4") in the center of the lid for my brush/utensil and leave the lid on all the time when I've got glue going. Glue goes in a baby food jar, with water in the pot just slightly above the level of the glue. Works like a charm.

Best,
William R. Monroe

I'm sure others have improvised rather than spend for the glue pot. Any ideas?
