tuning pin hole plugs

I just got some from Allied Piano, 215-491-3045. www.alliedpiano.com   I had a similar problem, which was compounded by the fact someone had repined some pins that were loosish, with a larger size, and my tuning tip wouldn't fit, and that was the special slim tip, they make for such occasions.
There are 2 sizes, 3/8" and 1/2", I had some 1/2" already, but if I drilled for them it left too little plate, as it wasn't an open faced block.
He also has gap filling glue. I had been thinking epoxy, but if they say the gap filling glue is ok, it is definitely, less hassle.

  I've checked the archives and didn't find much on the subject. I'm looking to either purchase or make plugs to repair a pin hole that was drilled at such an angle that, with pin installed, it almost touches the neighboring pin and not allowing a hammer tip onto it. I have checked the usual suppliers but no one has anything to plug the pinblock with. Any information would be helpful.
