Quality of tie tapes/bridle straps/ new materials

Back when I was experimenting with possible
substitutes for knuckle buckskin, I got some samples
of specialty woven tape from Bally Ribbon Mills, in
Pa.. Teflon woven tape, Kevlar, etc.. 
    Kevlar is what bullet proof vests are made of. Bet
it'd last a  while!
